Compass updates

Also, is that screen name a subtle Flight of the Conchords reference? If it is - bravo, sir.

This change moves Compass in line with industry standard. Longevity will be based off 'Date of Hire', as happens at most every other airline. Previously, a measure known as 'EDAP' was used to determine when your step pay increases occurred. That was based off when you (or the first person from your new hire class?) passed their LOE/IOE (I can't remember which). Basically, it delayed your annual step raises a few months.

As I predicted a few pages back LAX went very junior on the Captain side. Only 2 guys in the top 100 bid for it. It did go more senior on the FO side but I would still plan on most new hires and upgrade to have to serve time out there before being able to bid MSP or DTW.

Any word on any more flow letters going out recently? Only 25 have been sent out right?

During your 30 day home study it would be no problem. After IOE, things get a little tricky. They have been known to give out permission before, but you will have to prove that you won't break any of the flight time limits. That's not too hard when everything is calender month and year, but starting in January I think to show them you won't break any rules will be downright impossible. My $.02.
