Compass updates

Very Funny Karl....
FWIW..no accidents on my record. As best as I can determine, I have never been arrested. In 35 years of working, I have never been terminated; and yes, one failed checkride out of over 45 total checkrides taken- BFD.
Good for you that at least one of us is perfect.

Honesty is the only policy.
I have a failed CFI checkride and a failed Dash-8 upgrade checkride in my history. Also a taxiway excursion in a blizzard (I was found not at fault) by the FAA. It's all listed on my Airlineapps file.
I suspect it's holding me back from getting a call but like the other guys said, they're gonna find out about it anyway. When they do, if you didn't disclose it, kiss your butt goodbye. Disclose it.

Don't let this be another chip on your shoulder, just move on and try to find another pasture that's your preferred shade of green

Well, looks like it was actually 2 checkrides...one of which was an upgrade, which weighs very heavily. The excursion may or may not have counted against you because it wasn't your fault, but it likely did not help. Even if you were invited for an interview, the panel might have weeded you out anyways. A positive attitude, professionalism, and communication skills are heavily weighed in the decision to hire a candidate. Referring to the recruiters of your prospective employer as "boneheads" is a bonehead move. Don't kid yourself, your screen name may hide your real name, but recruiters do check the forums and it's pretty easy to put 2+2 together. Especially when you list ALL of your qualifications.

Gutsiest move I've ever seen Mav- visiting my profile page to look up old posts and pull this one out. Anyway, you and the Mustache are exactly right. After seeing the snooty attitude on display by the Compass recruiters at the FLL and LAS job fairs as well as some of the uppity sounding posts by some of your other pilots in this thread I am quite certain that I wouldn't fit in your "Culture."
At the job fair in FLL, the two guys literally looked down their noses at me. After that, it was painfully obvious that I wasn't going to get the time of day from Compass. Hence, when someone else posted that they were frustrated at not getting a call from Compass, I couldn't resist and made the "Boneheads" comment. It's not like I still had a chance.
Quite Frankly, and I hope the recruiters are reading this, You guys take yourselves WAY too seriously for me.
As for the "Karl" Marx comment, there IS something a little strange about an American who uses "Marx" as a screen name along with a picture of the guy as his Avatar.

At the earliest June, arbitrator pushed back the hearing on one of our issues till end of May. Their are some other issues as well along with some LOA's that have to be sorted.

As for the recruiters being uppity, I'm sure they picked up on your attitude, or had an issue with your background. They're very adept at picking this stuff up. Maybe you're confusing uppity with polite rejection.

Haha...this is right on ^^^ It's a very very small world in the aviation industry. I'd be careful about burning too many bridges. Klondike...you may be happier at Endeavor. I hear they're hiring. I take offense to your attitude and generalizing all of us pilots at Compass as you did. Good luck and watch your tongue. At your age you should know better.
