Never heard that. Who said that?

But this is the airline industry, so anything is possible.
Surprised no one mentioned the fact until fairly recently (6 years or so) most of TSA flying was for AA. So the AA thing isn't too far fetched.

Anyways only other thing I want to say to what seems like mostly new guys that post to this thread now is that hopefully this big hiring wave is not a repeat of the 2005/6 hiring wave that was for the Continental flying that we "totally got" and then it went to CHQ and we did a massive furlough...

I've been out of TSA a while now and am excited to see that things have changed, but just wanted to drop some "old wisdom" in here because I was there for the 2005/6 hiring furlough wave.

At that time no regional except eagle could have more than 50 seaters on the certificate and fly for American so in order to get the CRJ7 contract Tsa formed Gojet. That in it of itself was fine, however management did not want to pay Tsa pilots to fly gojet planes so they made a separate seniority list.

This sums it up in a much nicer way than I would have said it.....

LOA change to commuter clause... No longer limited to twice a year. It's now unlimited. As a commuter this is great news and will relieve some stress. Did we give something up for this or is management just that nice?

Rumor has it KS wanted to change that a while ago. It's all part of their "kinder, gentler management team" strategy. I'm not complaining. (We didn't give anything up in return)

Good to hear! I also just noticed we only need 7% coverage now to drop. That's a HUGE improvement. Another good deed by management? I'll take it.
