1.5 years to transfer there as others have said. You should consider the brasilia. The pay is actually more than the RJ the first two years because the pay scale is the same but you'll spend less time getting the 75 hour reserve guarantee. I made more money 2nd year on the brasilia as a lineholder than I would have made on the jet even when the pay scales were different.

By the time your seat lock is up you'll be able to transition to SFO easily. Commuting is not fun.

ORD right out of training should be simple. They just put out the transfer list for April and they have 10 FO openings in ORD. Most of the current new hire class will likely go there.

SLC is kind of an odd base in a sense that it's pretty junior to be able to transfer in there, but pretty senior to actually hold a line. There's hardly any movement on both the FO and captain side. There are a lot of super senior FOs in SLC who have upgrade bids just for captain in SLC and no other base. Since there's no movement on the captain side those FOs aren't going anywhere so everything stagnates.

The bottom of the list sees some movement because a lot of the reserve guys transfer around trying to commute to hold lines in different bases. If you want to sit as the plug on reserve in SLC for 3+ years you can get in there, but don't expect a line for a long time.

It is but new hires have even going there from the last few classes, it would still take a while to hold a line in SLC in the RJ

No I am not at all interested in SLC, I was just asking.

What's LAX like for a new hire on the Jet.

Busy, LA has been shorthanded for a few months now. The bottom reserves are breaking guarantee pretty much every month. Holding a line is a ways off as all the bro transitions and senior pilots transfer in.

ORD right out of training should be simple. They just put out the transfer list for April and they have 10 FO openings in ORD. Most of the current new hire class will likely go there.

Nice! yeah at Lakes used to be MSP based but I am an east coaster moving to Chi-town. Glad its wide open

I wish we had this Brasilia setup when I was hired. I would have begged for the bro! I was grateful for the RJ just because of the pay but now I have been mega junior for over 6 years on the RJ with no upgrade in sight. When it does get in sight it will be on the Brasilia which I have never flown which makes me hesitant.

The bro is now the best deal for me hires, unless you live in the east and want to stay there.

Mega junior after six years? You must be in SLC or the northwest. I've been here three years and can hold a pretty decent line in almost every base except those. As far as no upgrade in sight, if you've been here over six years you are very close to a Brasilia upgrade.

They've only been upgrading about 10 per month. Even someone who is 200 numbers away from the most junior captain realistically has no upgrade in sight right now.
