Yet this is what your worried about? Your petty little misperceived dramas and squabbles won't seem so important a few years from now when we're getting buried by NAI and the like. B52 at least had a point to make with his suggestion that management has a dog in this fight as well and it might be worthwhile for ALPA to look to management as a potential ally. At least worth considering but nah, your too busy with Munoz's sensitivity training and personal letter writing campaigns.
As far as NAI goes, I'll wait and follow the lead of my ALPA representatives. I would also suggest you do the same. It's way to early to take the kids out of private school, sell the wife's BMW, sell the bubba truck or cancel Xmas. And, may I suggest you stop panicking over NAI - it's been on the radar for some time now and ALPA is well aware of the impact it could have.

As far as personal letter writing, I've only written one letter and that was a thank you letter to ALPA for staying on top of the PS grievance and getting the LUAL pilots a just payout. Good chunk of change for Christmas - I think you called it "petty little misperceived dramas and squabbles".

The duration it will take for this to play out will prevent one from realizing the perils until we are beyond the tipping point. Just like the United I once knew has become unrecognizable over the course of time, so will this industry. Contrary to the political rhetoric of Trump and nationalism, globalization is our coffin and back room deals will be the nails sealing it.

So much negativity on APC these day. Try and look at the bright side, shiny brand new pilots will get to fly shiny brand new 787s and hang out with shiny brand new young and hot foreign flight attendants!

And earn one third of what we currently do.

Glad to have the funds, but I will forever disagree on the execution.

Must say I am disappointed that so many are already prepping to fold their tents and are getting the white flags ready.

Oscar says 4B (or is it 5?) in profits within just a few years. Who are we to disagree? He's just now starting to get the synergy-wagon in gear. Although, this weeks snow in ORD shoots a big hole in that theory.

You and I both know it can change in a week....And the good times are getting long in the tooth. With Mr Tweeter running the show...hedge fund guy as Treasury Sec, "Mad Dog" running Defense....What could go wrong?

Plenty. While I don't care for the types he's picking for his staff, most of my dyspepsia comes directly from him. He's too easily agitated and far too reactionary. While his flippant sound bite's might sound good in the trailer park, that type of diplomacy won't sit well abroad. The CIC has to gently juggle a lot of ripe peaches at once without bruising any one of them. I don't think he can do it.

Oldmako....not to disagree with your well thought out post...I largely do agree. But, (there's always a catch). I believe that "bruising some peaches" is exactly what is needed, if only to shift us from the status quo. We will all see in the long run. Hope to look back on these years over some beers with ya'll and say wow those were exciting times
