Maybe I shouldn't be saying this on a public forum. I'm an awac captain with north of 10 years seniority. My total compensation will be north or $170,000 this year... To fly a 50 seat jet... I have a family with 2 young kids. Our insurance is second to none, and with our 16 year old concessionary, it will hurt when I move on. I'll say it again... Management has offered us Endeavors entire contract; HUGE rates and all... They know how much they would save getting rid of our insurance. My families health is much more important to me than a small raise (I'd like to see a similar seniority endeavor captains pay stub and the end of the year and compare).
If you feel there is a better company to work for and make more money, I'm sure they will hire you. I'll give the union credit on this, and only this. They didn't cave on our amazing insurance, and I thank them for that!

I love our insurance and it kept me from going bankrupt when I had a very sick family member. Not sure how you can make $170K unless you work a lot and pick up massive amounts of critical open time. But I seem to do ok for myself.
I am not being a Debby Downer but I’m not expecting hefty raises. 3%, I’d be surprised. This way, I won’t be so disappointed.
I don’t want the Endeavor agreement because all of our soft pay will go away. The rigs are there for more efficient and productive schedules. When I come to work, I come to work, to fly and not sit in the hotel or crewroom staring at the 4 walls. Imagine doing 12 hour duty days for a measly 3 hours pay? No thank you.
Or PSA with 11 days off and 75 hours credit? No, I’ll pass.

Thank you for not talking about per diem, I don’t think I could stand reading ten pages of whether it is or is not compensation.

Just tell me what Box 1 of your W-2 reads like every other taxed employee in the country does. Leave it to pilots to make it more difficult. There’s no need to know how much 401K match or direct contribution you got on money that you can’t pull out immediately without incurring a penalty.

I didn’t do as well as making $170K but I won’t be hurting either. I do gross six figures. I need to as I’m putting one child through college and the other is a high school junior who wants to go off to college as well. And I don’t include per diem because it’s not income but meal reimbursement.
