Just talked to one of the chiefs from PHL, he said if you get in at the right time, some people are holding line at LGA right out of sim training.

I doubt anyone is holding a line right off the bat. RSV for at least a few months but a line probably within 4-5 months definitely.

How hard is it to get domiciled out of ORF? If you live in domicile, what is the typical schedule like?

He said it was far and few in between but it happens. Didnt mean to give the idea that everyone and their mom will hold line right out of training. But LGA shouldnt be too terrible to get off reserve, average is 3-6 monthes, 6 monthes if you are unlucky.

ORF is a likely lock from your very first bid...unless your whole class wants ORF....never have I seen an entire class want ORF.

RSV = deadheads to other bases and stations to fly airplanes. It's an MX base.

When you hold a line the trips start early and finish late usually, but not always.

Not hard to have 15 days off though.

Yeah I would disagree with it being one of the "more senior bases" as far as FOs go Id say in order of seniority PHL, DCA, LGA , ORF.

Random question, but do we do any ground handling for UA (or anyone else for that matter) at ORD?

Thought it was interesting they put out the Job Announcement looking for a Training Instructor in ORD.

Nice. I had heard similar a couple weeks after the Delta flying fell through. It is more than possible. In a perfect world Parker wants all his pretty boy WO's to do all of their flying, but it doesn't appear thats even close to happening.
