As far as I can tell, the only thing stopping UA is the contract for the FA's stating they must be the ones working all UA majority owned flights. Not sure how the FAA would go with the idea of UA FA's and some other carrier plane and pilots.

I think you're a little confused. Again..

I said I can understand why people are upset that they are losing hours. You are the one basically telling our captains to f*ck off and learn to live off min guarantee...

I think you may be to far removed from others situations. You have no idea what kind of financial position someone is in due to circumstances you have no idea about. To blanketly paint your perception of how to live someone else's life is pretty narrow minded.

And to say pick up open time shows truly how far you are removed from living on resv. Some may not have the opportunity to pick up open time due to schedules and their home life.

Reserves are carrying this place right now. Line-holders complaining about not being able to pick up open time has me tuning up my tiny violin. Bid Reserve or hold your tongue. You'll fly plenty, and then some.

Captain reserves? How are they "carrying this place" if the reserves and line holders both only get 75 hours each month? Reserves are meant to be on reserve, they are not meant carry the place...

There should be no junior man calls because they decided to use up the reserves to save money, then got screwed up by unforeseen events. That's what the reserves are for....

There's the way things should be, and there's the way things are. And things are the way they are because of our ****e contract. That's my legal opinion, bona fide. I'd love to negotiate the next one for the group but I plan to be moved on, or possibly retired, by then.

Or maybe it was because it was for limited liability and tax loopholes, all speculation but interesting nevertheless.

I don't know any more than anyone here but personally I think we're in a good place here and we have a good future, with a great chance to expand and grow our company and fleet if staffing allows.Everyone here needs to lighten the **** up.
FYI CommutAir was owned by Champlain Enterprises Inc. before their CPA was signed and changed to LLC just before the announcement. UAL owns 40% of CommutAir....

This is what I was suggesting. How did you figure that United bought 40% of CommutAir? Anyway to see if that is what happened to AWAC?
