From September to February it will probably feel like everybody is on reserve. The super junior and super senior won't notice much, but the rest of us in the middle will go up and down in seniority power for base bidding during the transition. Plus reroutes, extensions, jr mans, and deadheads all to cover both operations.

Well, middle of the pack lineholders still have Time Away From Base protection, 4 day max trip length scheduled protection, lineholders can easily refuse a Junior Man or Extension on Day 4, so that's not Reserve by a long shot. Reserves have none of these contractual protections (they better be in the next contract, but I digress). Furthermore, when you refer to super junior folks, your talking about people who have been on property for 1.5 - 2 years.

The folks down at the operational level are great and I love coming to work, but lets not sugar coat things because we like AWA(c). It should be better.

Couple questions if you don't mind.

In an earlier post, someone mentioned losing 30+ a month. Is that an over statement or are you truly losing that many? If so, any ideas as to where they're going?

In regards to the new hiring bonus, any information yet on how long a new hire is supposed to be on property before it no longer has to be repaid?

Lastly, about this written test for the interview. I think I read somewhere that it's fill in the blank. Any truth to that, or is it multiple choice?

Thanks!

I'm flying with a CA in recruiting, he says about 18 leaving a month and 2 classes of about 14 a month.

Haven't heard about length of time on property re: repayment. Dont think there is anything in place yet. 2 year timeframe to get the full 57k though.

Test is multiple choice.

Most CAs are leaving for legacies, and almost all FOs leaving are leaving for ACMIs/LCCs. Our attrition has slowed down to a halt, probably in waiting for the bonus on the 15th.

Thank you for the response. I have one more question.

Earlier someone stated that half a class fails training. Is AWAC's training program that tough or are half the people being brought in not ready for a 121 training program?

Eh, I think both. Our training program is challenging but I wouldnt say its excessively hard by any means.

Study and you'll pass. Expect to be handed the job, and you'll fail.

Just because there's a sign on bonus doesn't mean we'll hire anyone like Mesa or GoJet
