An Alaska thread needs Robert Service poems:

That would make your blood run cold;”

How do you know this with such certainty?
It's quite easy...She was on the bid, now she's not. As previously reported she flew to Hawaii, and didn't fly back. This isn't CIA level sleuthing. And on another update, strong rumor is a witness as to her prior character has been found. I sure hope Angle Lake is forced to pay for their one sided character assassination.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds and what information will be reported, or buried, by our trigger-happy press.

I can give you the names of several pilots (PM being just the latest) who are/were victims of trigger happy AS managers.

Exactly none of it will be reported. Everything which has been reported to date, has been in the media for one reason, and one reason only: Because Ms Pina went on a media campaign in furtherance of her lawsuit. She's not going to go on a #metoo media campaign to publicize her latest episode, ergo, no reporting on it.

In my opinion, there are too many people with too much of the Hawaii story for the media to not get notified of it, by someone. Now whether they choose to report the story is a different question

There's probably some truth to your first comment, as to the second; Let's say hypothetically, that you could dig up a journalist who was interested in presenting "the rest of the story", who worked for a media outlet which would permit him, or her. I don't think that they'd simply print rumors from an anonymous internet forum (not making a commentary either way on said rumors, just that from a journalistic perspective that's all we have at the moment) So, where is this journalist going to go for attributable information on this latest chapter? Ms Pina? I think the probability is pretty low that she'd tell a reporter on the record; "Yeah, I had another episode in which I drank till I passed out and got taken off a flight, and now I'm being fired". Alaska Airlines? Not going to get anything more than "We don't publicly discuss internal personnel issues".

There might be other ways to corroborate the information. I'm always amazed at how much information investigative journalist can dig up for a story.

Of course, it requires the editorial will and resources. I imagine, if that ain't there in this case, that story will not see the light of day..

Maybe after the election the media may consider it, but not a chance before. The #metoo political movement is very important to them, truth be damned. Although I think it is backfiring, since most implicated were on the left.

Just off phone w/ friends who's been there almost 30 years. Here's what he says he "knows:"

She was in a Black put at pool. Hotel called AS. They sent Corp Security Team via Biz Jet to access. She returned w/ them and was enrolled in HIMMS. (Check Flight Aware?)

She's currently enrolled in program.

From PE directly:

PE is still terminated. Awaiting an appeal.

This entire situation SUCKS! I hope he walks away with the bank and leaves AS w/ egg on their face. But I'm guessing it will happen behind the scenes w/ non-disclose agreements.

This goes against almost all of AS 'Core Values.'

If considering working for AS, read this entire thread. I'd look elsewhere if wanting a career airline.

Baja.
