I guess you could make that argument, but I don't know who would take you seriously. The stock price is down 40% from a wild peak at the end of 2016. But looking at the last 10 years, I'm seeing a return of about 1090%, which beats everybody except UAL by a hefty margin.

BOTH made lots of money for their shareholders and got very rich themselves in the process. You can both take care of employees AND make shareholders a tidy sum. It’s not a binary choice.

A couple years ago, AS would send out an email inviting you to apply, then you'd get called by "smart recruiters" where you'd get the hard sell on why you really don't match up with AS just yet.....so you need to really consider Horizon for employment. It was like a bad time share proposal....but all the sell without the reward.
I still get emails asking to update my application with AS. I'm assuming so I can be offered an interview with Horizon once again.
At the time I lived in Seattle and really wanted to work for AS. Never got the chance so I moved on. I wish all you guys luck and hopefully you can make it a place people will be happy at.

I got an email asking me to confirm my presence at an interview with Alaska two days later. Assuming I had missed a prior email, I inquired about later interview dates, but said I could make it if it couldn’t be moved. The next day, I jumped on an airplane to Seattle and when I landed, received an email stating that confirmation had been sent to the wrong person with my first name. Awesome sauce.

What’s obvious is that we need; for the good of the union, our job security and our future contracts, is for hiring the union to be in control of the hiring. We cannot continue to allow the company to hire low time asswipes that fit the metrics of loving Alaska as Yes voters and enablers. If Alpa can’t manage this, maybe AFA can?
