Yeah, the irony.
It is ironic that those who scream snowflake at people who speak up against racism or injustice are they themselves the one who live in fear of minorities and immigrants. Fear that they’ll take their jobs, move into their neighborhoods, protest in their towns. They’re always the ones who say, “I’m not racist, BUT...”
It is ironic that those same scared people who decry “cancel culture”, because the Dixie chicks change their name or Washington dropped the derogatory “redskin” moniker, are the ones trying to put Goodyear out of business, stopped shopping at Dick’s sporting goods, smashed their yeti coolers, refused to buy Taylor Swift CD’s, burned their Nike’s, boycotted the NFL and drummed out a player for raising the issue at hand. Why, even last night during the RNC, they pulled a speech from a Q supporter. (Which I agree they were right to do but daaaaaamn, the irony).
It is ironic that the same weak minded folks call anyone using their first amendment rights to protest any injustice, a fascist. All while supporting forcible suppression of that opposition and strong regimentation of society. Which if you haven’t guessed, is the very definition of fascism.
It’s quite ironic that those same scared, weak minded people championing the use of fascist force, hold up the constitution and proclaim it to be a perfect document which disproves racism while apparently not realizing it has been amended 27 times. Not grasping the fact that the purpose of the United States is to constantly strive to be a, “more perfect Union”, not rest on our laurels from 1789 and in order to do so, must accept change.
Most ironic of all, the ones promoting a petition to “depoliticize” AS, are using right leaning talking points filled with straw man arguments and tag lines championed by threatening conspiracy theorists with ties to the extreme right.
So in short, I agree, “oh, the irony”.

There is nothing factual in that petition. One of their opening premises about BLM "funding the Democratic Party" is a patent falsehood that was spread by Infowars and Candace Owens. The rest of the petition is nothing but fear mongering editorial, just a regurgitation of Fox News bogeymen of the week.
I also happen to love how the author continues on to clutch their pearls over the TSA of all agencies - an agency almost universally regarded as a bloated, theatrical, ineffectual waste of taxpayer money at best, and an ever-growing collection of civil rights violations at its worst.
These poor, poor, people who now feel "alienated" at work because more people are empowered to share their opinion. If I had to bet, I'd guess that the same people who are now uncomfortable at work are the same people who have for years and years (completely unsolicited) been injecting politics into absolutely every cockpit conversation, spewing right-wing vitriol about millenials, lazy people, taxes, god damned Democrats, socialism, and whatever else Laura Ingraham and Jeanine Pirro were drunkenly ranting about the night before. Oh no, the people that have spent my whole career talking politics at me just to hear themselves, with no interest in my opinion or even the self-awareness to acknowledge that I even might have one, are uncomfortable now? I think I'll reserve my sympathy for people with real problems.

Pretty simple, one seeks to just boycott a product or service while cancel culture seeks to de-plaform, fire or destroy those that they want to cancel. Its the difference between just disagreeing with someone and wanting to harm someone for the way they think.
ActBlue is a left wing organization that takes the money, in may no be "the democrat part" but it's still a left wing group being financed and bankrolled by a left wing donation website. Not a boogyman at all, a legitimate concern given the rampant fraud that been exposed by these sort of groups.
Nice strawman.
People are agitated by a company taking a side of a political group that's rhetoric has led to violence. Its no different than if a company took the side of a milita or some other right wing group. I'm sure you'd have a problem with that, given a news network sets you off.
I agree the petition is probably a bad idea, only because the BLM people will most likely try and dox the people the signed it and attempt to have them fired, they behave like those involved in the Chinese cultural revolution at this point.

What injustice? All I see are ignorant people spouting off debunked talking points and rioting. Given the almost 90 days of rioting and destruction I the anger against these "peaceful protesters" justified.
Nice projection but Boycotting something you disagree with not the same as cancel culture. If you bothered to inform yourself on what it actually is you would see that.
No I think the weak minded people are still the ones thinking that rioting and destroying property is "protesting injustice".
You mean factual information?

Projection? Oh I see, when liberals boycott something they don’t agree with it’s, “cancel culture”. When conservatives do it, it good ol’ fashioned, first amendment, boycotting and protesting. Nothing ironic about that. Funny, because with reference to the Goodyear, “boycott”, I believe trump said something along the lines of, “two can play the same game.” Do you know what inference is Aiken? He’s inferring that the “boycott” IS in fact, practicing, “cancel culture”. Something the right claims to be staunchly against. Strong counter point on, “irony” though....
Go ahead and look up the definition of Fascism. Then watch the videos of unidentified “police”, attacking and gassing a bunch of moms wearing bike helmets. Your, “I’m made of rubber and your made of glue”, defense doesn’t pan out here.
You’re justifying the use of a politically biased petition because it’s filled with politically biased “facts” to promote the “depoliticization” of AS? All under the guise of explaining irony???
Thanks for the laugh!!

"90 days of protesting", they are riots and you're right it is shameful.

It's not surprising you buy into the "moms" nonsense given you believe all the nonsense that BLM spouts. You seem resistant to inform yourself on the fact and just gobble up the talking points as gospel.

Unfarmed doesn't mean not a threat, tayvon martin and mike brown showed us that very easily. You keep spouting that line and acting like it absolves the ones who are shot when the facts of these cases mostly don't.

Lefties don't boycott, it wouldn't be a problem if it was. It's the fact they go to people houses to assault them, have them removed from jobs, doxxed them ect. That is the difference and again you pivot to "but trump said". The irony is that you claim everyone against blm is "fragile" or something when the entire movement and the clowns who support it lose their sensibilities anytime someone doesn't tow their party line. It's what so comical about your projections.
I see police defending themselves in portland against a bunch of violent thugs. People you call "protesters" over and over again. The response by the police is justified and I hope we see more of it considering people are tired of the "peaceful" riots.

Again, thanks for the laughs! It’s much appreciated. In these tumultuous times, I’ll take ‘em any way I can get ‘em.

I could see how someone with a room temperature IQ would think that. I also doubt you're laughing at anything, probably seething with rage, but your mental state is probably another discussion.

Here’s one: The clitoris has over 8,000 nerve endings and yet, it is still less sensitive than a white conservative man on the internet.
O.k. You got one, I got one, now what? We derail the whole thing trying to One up the zingers or do we keep it on topic?
Again, I can’t say it enough times, thanks for the laughs.
