Well two weeks ago, flight ops was almost certain they would need to furlough this spring. This week it’s new plan is adding frequency, and increase utilization of the Bus. I guess we are on a rollercoaster. I guess better news is better news. I am starting to think our corporate plan is based on our stocks daily movements.

Cases are increasing, lockdowns are likely, there will be furloughs, just a matter of when not if.

At this point I don't see why anyone with a little cash on hand wouldn't wait a few months and see how the vaccine thing works out. If it does well, there will be a lot of pent-up travel demand especially recreational travel next year.

If you're too busy furloughing people to meet your customer demand, never fear, SWA will be there to save the day.

No, actually I don’t want furloughs nor bankruptcy, but in my view it’s pretty clear that unless something changes dramatically we will furlough. I think Alaska is far from the worst company out there, but it certainly isn’t the best either.

The flight operations center does not house any key people...Lots of khaki-clad parrots but no key people...We are going to burn 2.5 to 4 million per day for the foreseeable future. Pent up demand is a mythical talking point. Vaccine is a placebo....
