Nice handle. Disappointment indeed. Because we have line bidding and not PBS, there is always open time, and plenty of it. Our contract has been structured around it as well as guys picking up. That's why our lines without the overlap are around 18-19 days off. If we were to stop picking up OT, that would arguably be the most easily proven job action. But I'm sure you knew that already.

Really?! Stay classy, idiot.
I apologize for our senile uncle. Let me go turn up his infowars podcast to level 11 and give him some play dough and bubbles - that'll keep him busy for awhile.

Rough math would put the top 3 airlines all having to have somewhere in the ball park of $347-$350 TOS on or before DOS+1. For AS to get an increase above 4%. If the bottom two don't raise the bar and if JB is not counted, the top 3 all have to be in the arena of $340/hr by DOS+1. This would have to occur before Sept 1st 2023. So in 11 mos., 3 of our comparison airlines need to negotiate rates that are $30/hr higher than ours. Something the yes voters seem to think is an impossibility due to the impending recession but somehow also tout the, "snap up", as being a viable provision..... I agree with you outsiders looking in. We're leaving too much money on the table. We made big gains in Scope and Scheduling, namely because we had squat in either area to begin with. I find no reason we have to compromise in any section to make these gains. We had 1500 at the picket, a 99% strike vote and we need to follow it up by sending this TA back and delivering a mandate stating that the days of the Alaska discount are over.
You just described a dream I feel like I'm going to wish I was living, but instead will watch the whole industry just cruise by us again, waving and cracking wise at how Alaska bit at the first piece of kibble that hit the floor. Again.

Out of curiosity, do you think Biden’s statement that we are currently the closest we’ve been to nuclear war with Russia since the Cuban Missile Crisis just a ploy to get Alaska ALPA to cave and vote “yes” on the TA?

The Russia-Ukraine war does have a "COVID in January 2020" vibe about it.

It's something far away that we hear about on the news, while we all go about our lives unphased.

It would be peak cynicism to vote yes to get that bonus check before the bombs start dropping.

It’s not just that Russia/Ukraine problem. It’s everything in general. The whole world, not just the United States. The Fed has no choice now. These rates are going higher, economic activity to slow, which will mean companies slow down hiring and expansion, conserve capital.

On a side note, I don’t care what some random Southwest pilot thinks of the TA.

I sincerely hope luv gets $380.

The reality is luv is at least a year out from coming anywhere near to agreement with management from listening to their MEC’s podcasts.

Well that’s embarrassing. You posted some made up spreadsheet titled “potential contract TFP” really. That’s not even what you are asking for, so the potential is pretty low!😂

Potential Delta Pay
737

Captain First Officer
Year 12. 495.00 390.00

Man what a bunch of suckers at SWA, Delta has a potential contract that is way better!

Yes, vote just went over 1600… pretty funny because no one on here could find anyone voting yes🤔
You all are going to have to beat your drums a lot louder, and get a lot of people to go back in and change their votes… good luck with that😂

Just got back from the 7-11 with “the potential Powerball” winner. Anyone want to buy it off me for let’s say 500,000k… I mean it’s the “potential winner” and in my heart, I really believe it’s true.

I'm just curious how you have access to the AS MEC voting data?

He doesn’t but he’s playing pretty good odds with the statement.
