No, it was by choice. Could have a lot more. But day trips are okay so I don’t mind adding those. Total 14 days of flying for the month.

But that still sounds bad. As a junior fo i did 108 credit, week day day trips, 15 days off, without vacation. do you lose credit when you take vacation at Alaska? Shouldn't the credit be much higher for working on vacation?

I got 20 years dude, 20 years! Pretty sure I will be just fine. As long as the economy doesn’t tank, so will your friend. A 40 year career anywhere should be a good one!

I wonder what my peers at Delta would think about my 40 year A-plan retirement🤔… Now what are they smoking over there? Do you know what they payout is over hear at little old AS on a 40 year pension?

If this economy holds, the other three will all have deals by late summer. Our union is a lot smarter then you give them credit for!

Agh yes the old pension talk… there’s a reason why everyone these days prefers their retirement money to be allocated when and where they want it and not beholden to a company staying in business. It’s amazing how many of you guys are retiring with the rising interest rates.

If I recall correctly, there were only about 30 guys retire last year due to rising interest rates. That is hardly "amazing".
What I find amazing is that anyone over about age 58 stayed. Age 60 or 30 years service equals full pension. Why anyone who fell in that bucket and is still here boggles my mind.
I guess they have to many X wives or never picked up a hobby in life worth doing more than work.

Let me guess, you are your own financial advisor 😂😂😂. Yup, A-plans are terrible deals, that’s why corporate America got rid of almost all of them.

So, I should leave 20 years early because interest is going up 10 years before I am even eligible to retire, 20 years before I have too😂😂😂. Yup, you definitely voted no on the contract, you most certainly have it all figured out.

Oh, and yes, I have 980k in my rainy day 401k, it should be at least 4,100k by the time I retire. And dude that 4,100k is a slush fund, a fun money account! Did you hear that the defined benefit laws have changed since 2002🤨. I don’t know where interest will be in 20 years, I will be ok.

Hey, and tell your buddy he can buy my house in Seattle, since he is crushing the AS pukes, and now works for a real airline. This years tax assessment is for 3.8 mill, I think, I could sell it for 4.3… and there is no note on the house. Have your buddies at Delta take a couple of big drags on that! He is just a few quick green slips away!

That’s because anyone with a lick of a brain took the early out but it’s no surprise that as the interest rates were rising more people chose to leave.

Corporate America got out of them because they had to pay premiums to the PBGC on top of still funding them not because they’re some
gold standard. As for the rest of your made up ranting I think I hear the box calling your name for another double.

So answer my question, at 40 years, what’s my lump, what’s my monthly benefit?

And no, you’re absolutely wrong. Airlines got out of them because they are an unbelievable good deal for retiring pilots, especially under the new bankruptcy laws!

Should I be anticipating an all cash offer, since he is so flush with all that Delta coin? The views are spectacular from almost every room!
