if you live within 2 hour drive of base the new reserve is pretty kush and can credit a lot but for commuters the more than 6 conversions with no cap hurts, yes they make bank but are gone from home a lot, granted still light years better than our old system. The unstacking of reserves is a byproduct of pbs and having no min reserve coverage % in the contract 15-20% min would solve the unstack for resveres but then would create much higher ALVs for Line holders

25.8.C 90% applies to SLG lines there are no unstacking protections for reserves
so the unstacking rules are worse than you think

I was maybe 3 classes senior to Goodjet while at Alaska granted I was caught in the massive nonsense of the Airbus stagnation that occurred in 2017/2018. I literally left with CA awards going junior to me and it was not a fun predicament to be in coming right out of covid with toddler and another on the way. I am very fortunate more lucky than anything that this has worked out for me BUT I couldn’t tell you how 50/50 it was hearing people talk to me about leaving. Ya sure I’m not there under the new contract but I have way more AS family than I do Delta so it’s really easy to compare where we’re all at. I’ve gone backwards in seniority since Delta is semi shrinking and nothing has changed QOL wise. This isn’t some dig against Alaska no matter how you want to take it but the usual cheerleaders are here white knighting each other. It’s really sad you want to knock the guy expressing his situation because I can 100% guarantee you that A. I was taking that upgrade and B. Would have had it worse than him since I’d be a longer distance commuter so I do take it semi personally knowing you’d be saying the same garbage to me about how I should have known better about what I was getting into. The funny thing is I went and did the same thing over at the Deltard and it’s gone pretty damn good and definitely light years better than had I stayed at Alaska. In the end both places are purely a j o b.

I was more saying you are in the same Situation as goodjet if not worse due to smaller fleet less flying (assuming 220) and yet you don’t complain all day to strangers on a forum. I’m saying you’re in the same boat and handling it with much more grace
