While I'm happy and a tad surprised that the company even cares about bots (some other airlines seem to tolerate bots as a faster means of covering OT), ultimely the union needs to take this one by the horns.

We have PBS, and now are familiar with the ins and outs so time for some fine tuning.

I’m a fan of NK’s hybrid X/Y system. There’s a reason EVERY other airline has moved away from pure FCFS, maybe we should ask why?
How are people getting 140 per month? Sim seat subs?

Isn’t NK’s X/Y for premium only? As far as I’ve heard they still do pure FCFS for open time (straight pay) trips…

It sounds nice saying "we all look out for each other" when it comes to opentime. Actions say otherwise. I've never heard a pilot say I'm going to keep my crappy trip instead of swapping it out for a better one. Every pilot is out there trying to better their schedule. Unless you're #1.

With that being said, yes I agree it should be an even playing field. But many have to realize, some are just faster than others.

Check the reserve list every once in a while, the last week of a month. And you’ll see guys routinely on 25.X, VSA and POF, and you’ll also see their credit. I was out gunned by one guy all last week 🤣 Every juicy low-block soft time two-day, every 9hr+ turn with a DH, and every premium trip was snagged by the same guy. I must not hit refresh fast enough lol.

Transparency wouldn’t be hard, it’s an industry standard and a must have IMO. A simple list of time stamped requests and the awards. The schedulers already have it, I bet folks would be in favor of a new system if they saw the same names winning every time.

I am 100% in favor of transparency for everything. Including reserve assignments. I doubt we see it. But it would be nice if we did.

Even with transparency, there will still be people in denial that they're slow and thinking it has to be bots beating them. But I agree, wouldn't mind more transparency.
