At least AZ is paying for the gas. Of course our finances have changed over all due to gas in Chester and Pualani

Rumor from plausible source (still just a rumor though)... the company is trying to get AZ to allow them to use 330F empty legs for company-branded freight, as a means of making it profitable. Would also need an additional 10+ planes to make it worthwhile.

That’s like asking McDonalds if you can cook burgers on their grill when they’re not using it. Doesn’t seem plausible to intermix non amazon cargo into that operation.

That was my thought, but maybe on empty legs. How often does that happen?

Not very often. The infrastructure isn’t suited for external cargo. Can’t imagine Amazon wanting to disrupt their distribution centers for one off cargo shipments. Especially only on empty flights that are irregular and unpredictable.

This is different than what was originally said… Alaska freight on empty legs. This implies Amazon runs everything. Maybe Amazon could give AAG a container or two on some routes. We would need more information than an old freight waves article. Is there a website where you can buy this excess capacity? Did Amazon implement this plan? Lots of things are said and even make the news.. fewer things happen.

Honestly, its not that hard to put non amazon cargo with amazon cargo.

I think his point was that AZ is on record as being flexible.
