You know, its mo tards like you that make this forum unbearable. I work at VX. My point is/was that the pilots are P'd OFF! We got raped by a bunch of AMR croanies...so let me say again: exodus! Take ur flow through charts and graphs and stuff them. Any CRJ pilots flowing through to Emirates, Etihad, SkyMark? Exactly. How many flow throughs to FDX, UPS and SWA? Thank you!
I understand why you are ****ed off. Unless what has been done during the IPO is some how rectified this place will never be the same. Talking around, all frontline employees share the same sentiment as the pilot group, the IPO has been toxic.

I know the management at VX has slowed down hiring because attrition wasn't as bad as they thought it would be.

Exodus: a mass departure of people, especially emigrants.

UAL has a list of 11,000 applicants. You think its that easy to just get up and leave? You sound like a 7yr old telling people to "shut up", seeing that it shows weakness in your character.

Yup, you're a child. Go back to being angry at the universe and talking garbage on the internet behind a keyboard.

Yes we do have some VA pilots that were hired at United I have flown with 2 of them. and they were not recall pilots.

Nothing will change. Pilots will still be going out of their way crossing seatbelts and picking up trash. We'll probably get ALPA but who knows when that'll happen.

And from what I hear from Envoy guys is that many are being "held back" because of staffing issues. A good friend of mine at AA says mostly military guys are being hired and the few flow throughs from Envoy. Virtually none off the street.
Endeavor

Mesaba had about 70 Flows and all are gone.

Endeavor to Delta program cancelled and I believe 1 of 9 participants still on property.

SSP (pref interview) 40% pass rate.

Not as good as it looks from the outside.

That is interesting. It seems so many guys at these regionals are so infatuated with these flow through programs. I can't seem to grasp why. Especially with these results.

I think you are full of it, there are already ITM's walking off the plane when we get to our destination, not doing trash or seats. I don't blame them. Have you been working lately?

Yes I have. And everybody cleaned. I'm sure there are some ITMs that are walking off but from what I've seen so far it's business as usual.

You're absolutely right. I know 2 personally that were here at VX and left to go to United. Not flow throughs and not furloughs. They got hired straight out of here. Look, the bottom line is if you want to leave VX and put in the effort, the opportunities are out there...just like they are for everyone else. Folks here aren't missing opportunities to get hired away from VX because they work at VX. I'd bet it's more likely that they aren't dropping apps [I]because[I] they work at VX. Look, some stuff has gone on here recently and everyone is in an uproar. Will they leave? Maybe. Saying you'll leave and actually leaving is two different stories. Actually leaving takes work. You've got to throw apps out there again, study up for interviews, prep, and try to fit into that interview suit again. It's work. A lot of people complain but of all those that do, many less will actually do something to make a change. Change is hard. It's human nature. VX is a good company to work for. Many of the guys here really enjoy this place. Yes, even the senior guys. The problem is, there were promises made (or better yet...no, let's just say things were said that didn't pan out) and for those that put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this place...it was a hard pill to swallow when that reality came to fruition. For everyone trying to get on here...don't put all of your eggs in one basket. Yes, if you live on the west coast this might be a great place to work. But don't limit your options. There's better choices out there...and worse. It's all about QOL. Do what you're doing. Network, research and find the place that works the best for you. The final answer is what works for you. It may be the almighty dollar or it may be quality of life. Only you know the answer to that question. Every airline job is a gamble. Put your chips where you think you'll get the best payoff but if you're trying to just get a foot in the door...go with who calls first and then move on from there. Isn't that how this really all works anyway?

I have yet to see an inflight team walk off but it seems some pilots are super eager to run to the back and start cleaning. I don't mind helping out if time permits and extra help is needed but it's a little odd when the cleaners stand around and do nothing because we are doing their job.
