Take for example the one with agree, strongly agree, etc. There are so many questions that you just can't simple answer like this. I mean it's not that simple.

For example, one question "you like to work alone" Well sometimes yes I do! Another one "you care a lot about what others think" well that depends who!

I'll never forget doing the assessment at EK years ago in Dubai. We were all doing the same test and this guy from South Africa just blurts out "hey one of he questions is "you feel like someone is trying to rob you" well of course I do, I live in South Africa!!!!

Anyway, I think stick and rudder and how well you can get along with others much more important than being able to explain if a train going westbound at 81 mph.....

What ever the test are required for, I do not know. But I can tell you that in the 2 years that I have been here, I have only flown with 1 Captain that was a little off. This place hires outgoing, well rounded, mainly like minded individuals that enjoy flying airplanes. Great pilot group.

Make sure to let the interviewers know how you feel about this test when you get the call...

I take it VX doesn't publish a seniority list with DOH and DOB? It took B6 many years before they published the data. And now that they did, it is even more depressing! 341 retirements for us between now and 2025. 3000 pilots total

To anyone who has applied in 2015 (the most recent hiring window):

Has anyone received the pilot questionnaire that is suppose to come after the cognitive assessment? If so, about how long did it take for that email to arrive after completing the assessment? Thanks!

Knowing how iCloud sometimes doesn't deliver emails I'm wondering the same thing.

I've been checking the spam folder ever since I finished the assessment.

I did yesterday. Figured the window was open cuz I recieved the test immediately after receiving the "thanks for applying" email. But idk if a window is open or not

Oh ok, you must have received the cognitive test (math questions/personality exam) immediately after submitting your application, that seems to be the norm. I'm actually referring to the step beyond the cognitive test. As I understand it, if you "pass" the cognitive test you'll receive a questionnaire email from HR/Chief Pilot asking you more questions about your background as a pilot.

I'm wondering for those people who have applied in 2015, after completing the cognitive test, has anyone received an email from HR/Chief Pilot's office to further the process and if so, how long did it take?

I took the cognitive test yesterday (I should have practiced), nothing in an email afterwards.

Just saw this morning that VX is opening up AUS routes from DAL. I'm glad to see ya'll are being aggressive in the Dallas market, which leads to the question of is there any talk of opening up DAL as a base? I would love to work there but am not terribly interested in a cross country commute to either coast.
