Latest hiring data I heard from a reliable source. Next 4 classes are full (10 per class) about 2 per month. Next window open February ish. 110 pilots to be hired for the year. (but that could change, like last year.) 40 pilots in pool.

Does anyone know if Alaska will be having walk up meet and greets at the Puyallup career fair this year? I've been looking at the online info for the event and it isn't obvious to me if they will have walk ups like last year, or for that matter if the AS recruitment team will even be present.

Washington Aviation Association and the Northwest Conference and Trade Show, Puyallup WA
The airline track has gained popularity with support from Alaska Airlines. “We love this event,” remarked John Hornibrook, chief pilot with Alaska, “you can count on us 100% in 2016.” This year registered attendees meeting one-on-one with various airlines will be able to receive text messages when their turn is available so individuals can participate in forum rather than hold their place in line. The Forum sessions run from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Showplex and feature over forty information tables from exhibitors. This event is only open to pre-registered attendees. Register online, cost is $35.00 and includes a buffet lunch as well as admission to the NW Aviation Conference Saturday and Sunday.

Base assignments are in class.
You can get the base you want by the first base bid you participate in. However, most guys get what they want in class.
