Be prepared for some version of "Why Alaska when brand x is also hiring?". It's not the easiest question to come up with a convincing response for in the current environment. We have turned into a bit of a type rating school and I'm sure they are getting sensitive about all of the new hires getting trained and bailing.

There was supposed to be a system bid on Friday and that clearly didn't happen.

Living within two hours of SJC…. Pass

My theory on whatever happens being the worst possible option continues to be quite accurate

Of course everyone knows that “traffic” is not part of that 2hrs right. If you can reasonably make it at 2 am in terms of distance and speed limit then you are good to go…So…100 miles or so is a good conservative number.

Is that the policy? So they're cool if you miss a deadhead due to traffic?

I know AA is flexible on that.

Generally they are accommodating. If you F it away multiple times they won’t be.

Not recommended as a proby…But it only matters when you are on reserve. And if they only give you to hours to report to the airport which contractually is 45 minutes before departure…That is on them…However, if you are living out at the edge of that 100-120 mi limit, you best be motorin in earnest when you hang up the phone…
