I gave you what I thought… It’s worth what you paid for it. If we hit the summer schedule without a contract, it’s going to be really ugly, summer ‘05 will look good compared to ‘22. The ball is definitely in their court, maybe they really are that dumb.

Airframes, pilots, gates, slots, SEA, ego, and spite! There is definitely some tire kicking and I think maybe AS is finally ready to sell. This one is definitely tea leaves, connecting dots, and guessing. I am pretty sure it’s got legs!😉

I’m sure others might be interested if UAL is truly interested.

AS-girl out of her misery and UAL seems like a fine candidate to do just that.

And otz I hope management has come to their senses and is willing to negotiate but if past performance of managements is any indicator I think, like most here, I’m extremely skeptical that they actually wanna talk at the table

They are using the 08/09 playbook…You know the one where we Dec 08 we said no and Apr 09 we gave Brad our pension for free….A TA in June will get voted down no matter what is in it. And if TA 2 gets voted in….No one should lift a finger…Except the middle finger…Ink wont be dry before they drive a bus through it. Anyone that doubts the disingenuous nature of everyone that touches our contract is a fool…

At this moment in history... if they double down on screwing the pilots, they could lose 1,000 of them in 12-18 months. Legacies hiring well over 10K/year for the next several years, that math simply cannot be denied. Once it starts, it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy as lazy, comfortable people starting getting pushed down into lower relative seniority with upgrade prospects dwindling into the indefinite future. That will light a fire under a lot of arses.
That's exactly how the sunny CBA went from dead last to not so bad overnight (their one base is low COL too).

I swear these ridiculous rumors of United buying Alaska or merging with JetBlue etc. may as well be a feeble management tactic to stem the tide of attrition, making pilots believe they have a future here. Alaska pilots are not going to be rescued by some mythical merger and back into a great contract. The negotiating committee is working hard on the pilots behalf and it is up to the Alaska pilots to support them by all appropriate and legal means to get the contract we deserve.
