You've been on property 4 months and this is your first airlines. Easy dispensing advice until you actually get some experience.
You obviously have me confused with someone else, but cool story bro.

It’s pretty well known by now that pre-studying for airline ground school is not necessary or even recommended. It’s a slow, steady paced, 3 month long AQP training footprint….there is PLENTY of time to study & learn without much difficulty once on property. Just relax and enjoy life before you show up.

It looks like they are getting backed up again. Multiple CA upgrades are finishing sim still waiting for an idea of when OE will start. Anyone have anymore info on time frames?

I came to Alaska with exactly Zero 121 time, as well as a few others in my class.
Gotta keep your story straight, which is it?

Your reading comprehension is as bad as your attitude.

How does any of that indicate how long i’ve been here or my opinion of pre-studying for airline ground school?

Your advice also violates company policy by telling someone to gain company proprietary information before they are ‘officially’ hired and on property. Bad advice, as it could jeopardize their employment.

No, all new hires are not going to just the 737. 60+ vacancies on the 320 in LAX on last bid.

As far as looking at the flows go, memory items/limitations, should I start to study both the bus and the guppy? I was under the assumption that fleet type won't be assigned until showing up to class.

Which beings up another question. Recent classes; have they been going exclusively to one fleet type, or is there a mix within the class?
I’d wait till you get an equipment assignment first. With the way training seems to be backed up you’ll have time. I don’t know anything about the bus side to my understanding it’s still non-AQP style initial training. The Boeing footprint for me was 5.5 months from Indoc to OE. The flows are pretty easy in the Boeing there’s really nothing to difficult about the airplane. Getting familiar and used to a non-EICAS aircraft wasn’t even much of a hurdle. In terms of classes being awarded which fleet they’ll be it seems most of the time the entire class goes to one or the other but there has been split classes of each. If there’s a lot of vacancies out of LAX on the bus that might be where you’d be headed but that’s a guestimation at this point. Welcome to AS.

We should find out in the next week or two how many (if any) of the 60+ vacancies that will be filled.

Thanks for that. I am curious to see what happens with the bus vacancies and when new hire classes will start filling them .
