That’s the top reason why Delta is so unattractive to me, as my last four are very similar to the above

Just trying to point out there's movement and Seattle isn't a long reach, especially with talks of more frequent, smaller system bids (or AEs). Ask some of the AS new hires about getting the Bus with no choice in the matter. Not likely to happen again, but not impossible with our management planners.

I believe AS is unusual in that no seat lock for new hires?

No seat lock for your initial aircraft assignment correct.

The most junior in your class will be senior to everybody in the next class.

But the guy who is one junior to you but in the next class will get your desired plane and base. While you commute to a seat lock, likely in NY.

Only matters if you're older IMO, the older you are the more it matters.

Exactly.

But to me personally, age doesn’t matter. I have a small kid and a wife at home, no way in this lifetime will you catch me doing a transcon commute. Life is too short, and I’m not willing to be gone more than i’m home and miss all the milestones. No thanks, someone else can have it…
