It used to be very senior. Fun facts: For a time in the early 2000's, every (100%) of the B737-200 F/O's lived in and were residents of the state of Alaska.
The number #1 Captain in the company lived in SEA but commuted to ANC until his death, while doing a walk around (RIP Tedrick). There were a handful of commuting Captains, but not many. Less than 10% as I recall. Then the 200 went away, the 400/NG showed up, the flying of the base changed and here we are.

Those facts were indeed fun. Thanks for the info.

Things change. That was my only point.

ANC was junior briefly in the last half of 2021 as well. I remember helping two buddies get hired, and both of them lived in SEA and both were moaning about the commute to ANC right out of training. And both lasted shy of a year before jumping ship lol.

Yeah it went junior in my class as well. Only 1 spot and it was a guy commuting from MCI. He didn't last long either.

LAX also used to be the quickest upgrade. Now it the longest.

Hopefully, we will see a SAN base open someday. SEA doesn't want to give up its SAN overnights. According to DM, we will see a position bid today.

It definitely won't happen this year. Hoping it will eventually.

I've heard DM say that SAN is inevitable in the next few years.

Lol, if only it were up to us. Personally for me there are better overnights out there on higher credit pairings with fewer legs.
