We have all seen hiring plans paused or just forgotten. December 2019 we had 237 mainline aircraft. With the last remaining 900 classics gone we have 246 or 248 present day. 6 more MAX 8s coming in 2026. Then we are waiting on the 10.
There will be a trickle of hiring and upgrades for attrition until the MAX 10 certification. Unless one is extremely well connected: McChord Mafia etc and well qualified I would not hold my breath for a call until Boeing announces the anti ice fix or the cancellation of the MAX 7&10.

They announce a lot of things here. They may hire the 20 or so they have mentioned for 2025, the numbers they are touting for early 2026 are ridiculously high projections as they always are here. If the hiring happens in early 2026 I’d expect about 1/4 to 1/2 of what they project, that seems to be the historical norm.

Because AS is an all 737 airline, until single certificate of course and our growth plans are entirely dependent on the MAX 10.

The June email said 20 in Sep, 20 in Dec, and the potential for 100+ in Q1 2026. Seems like we would need another position bid about now for the 20 in Dec to happen.
