the time to get what we wanted was in 2023 when attrition was skyrocketing and Maury was flying to AZ to personally meet with Robles. That was leverage. Leverage was spring 2024 when Greg’s cronies were going to show the mediator and NMB that the company was dragging their feet and we had Biden in the white house and Dems at theNMB.
now we have nothing. No leverage. But yeah let’s just tell management all the goodies we want, and if that means we get put on ice for a year or two until JCBA bargaining starts then so be it…
how can pilots still be this naive??? It’s like they just repeat the same talking points the ibt gave them a decade ago as if the world hasn’t changed at all.

Whoever thinks this will be a grand slam like the old folks told you, you better adjust your expectations now.

No, of course not. Problem is, the last NC sabotaged the last 2+ years of negotiations and we don’t have the time to just let this continue to play out. If we weren’t merging with Sun Country and having to do this all over again very very soon, I would say let’s give RJ and his team another 4 years to figure it out. Fact is, we’re going to be back at the table very soon and we’re just waisting time now.

In a different context maybe it is good advice. But forgive me if I don’t feel like letting “the NC do their job” when it’s our 5th NC and they’ve been “doing their job” for five years and I’ve personally lost over seven figures of retirement and future earnings because past NC were doing their job.

How about we let the NC do their job? I’m sure the company is loving seeing the desperation from some pilots on here. Nothing anyone says here is going to make a new contract come any sooner. Talk to the NC, post on the internal forum, but leave your frustration with the pace of negotiations and what little you would take out of public view. Don’t let your weakness be our weakness…

The context wasnt blind trust, unquestioned loyalty. The context was don’t set up a laundry line in front of 1201 town center Dr and hang your Shiite stained undies for Bill and Maury to see. The desperation on here lately is sickening and while the frustration is understandable non of us should tolerate the level of absolute hysteria that you can witness reading the last three or four pages of this thread.
If you can’t understand why pilots might not want to critique the NC on internal union forums/chats where we cannot be anonymous then you’ve been living under a rock for the past 7 years.
get us a deal before JCBA starts so we don’t lose another half million and so we don’t get royally f%#@d in SLI
