For those that have left or retired or are at Sunny and want to know what is going on. The company hasn't done anything since April 20th, and the union is waiting for a response by May 7th. Another stall tactic, trying to push it past the end of May where the mediator won't schedule anything anymore.

Not accurate… From what I’ve been told by people on or close to the e board.. On the 24th, the union was expecting to wrap up negotiations and have a completed agreement. The board yanked the compensation aspect of the agreement and wanted our pay to be tied to the price of gas. They also wanted to keep retirement as is. I’m sure there were others. The union was going to email us and go scorched earth on the company that Sunday, but apparently got a call from someone backtracking.

Sounds like there has been a LOT of back and forth since then, which leads us to today. “Rumor” is that we’re down to 1 component outstanding to be agreed to, but it’s all dependent on our f’king board agreeing that we’re worthy.

This week will be telling, right? We either come out of mediation Friday with a completed agreement or there is not an agreement to be had. If that’s the case, we need to go scorched earth on the company.

That is the exact opposite of what the last NC email said. Now, in the interest of fairness, it's possible on the 7th that the company would give a quasi 'lbfo'. They wouldn't call it that of course, but negotiations after that are kaput. It wouldn't surprise me AT ALL if the company was throwing in last minute poison pills like the fuel thing. And my greater point would be they wouldn't be getting away with such tactics if the previous NCs had been doing their jobs.

Very sad day for Spirit. I’ll say it again, wish our friends at Spirit were still flying. Switching gears to the company perspective, higher fares for all. The company is claiming high oil prices and bankrupt ULCC’s demand less in terms of a new contract. I think our latest earnings report and future pricing leverage counter the latest headlines. Just hoping we don’t flush our retention bonus & bridge agreement down the crap hole this week. Confidence level pegged at zero.

Allegiant was the fourth most profitable airline last quarter. Sun Country was the fifth most profitable airline last quarter.

don’t let them tell you they’re broke.

Allegiant had highest profit margin of any US airline that has reported so far

Management is just trying to find someone to blame for the SunSeeker failure. Might as well be the pilots.

The "poison pills" like the fuel for pay deal was an absolute NO from the NC and the Eboard. When I said earlier to one person the he/she was somewhat accurate, was bc RJ did meet with TH and GA to discuss what the company side was putting on the table, and GA said he would rectify it. Apparently it was and the "fuel thing" was retracted by the company. The union was waiting after this, for the company to respond back to some costing on something the union had asked, and the union in the past said they would be ok with. But of course, in recent weeks pulled back on. But it sounds like it has been reviewed and remedied. So, if all goes well this week, there's a good chance an AIP might be reached. Fingers crossed.

How much of this do you believe is managment slowing everything down to see what happens with the fuel, economy, spirit, etc? I don't see why management would want to spend the money on any deal right now - they have the perfect excuse to do nothing and see what happens with fuel and economy in general.
