of course he gets paid. I love how the trustees talked about the thousands of hours they’ve volunteered when AR has t volunteered a single hour to this union. He bills for every last dime. He made sure to sign a LOA that ensured he got paid for every minute he worked.
If AR paid the union volunteers, like Kenny (I know how much time he puts in) the same way he makes sure to pay himself I’d actually be way more comfortable with him getting rich off all us. But for him to require others to volunteer while he always makes sure to get paid? That’s BS plain and simple.

i have spoken to multiple stewards, committee members, volunteers who have said they don’t get paid for their time because AR wouldn’t allow them to put in for union business - meanwhile he’s taking pay for union business every day of the month and bragging about how deep our coffers are. That’s just sh*tty.

Why would they be worried about the group that they hand picked getting in? That website has Ford and Harrison written all over it.

None of this matters. I don't believe the majority of pilots think its a real great idea to gut the union in the middle of negotations. This election is just bad timing.

a new deal is years away with AR and no attrition. a bonus scheme that is just enough to keep pilots from jumping ship.
Management is thrilled with AR and the status quo. It has helped them reap monster profits. Why would they want to rock the boat with new leadership when management has boxed AR in? Management wants consistency and certainty, they know AR and how to play him.

because Maury has played AR like a fiddle. He got AR to sign off on a bonus structure that has completely eliminated attrition. Attrition has fallen off completely.

management no longer has an attrition problem and AR helped them solve it. they is also benefitting from our rock bottom retirement contribution and below average rates (merely below average with the bonus structure).
and these are locked in for the next 3-4 years while we are in mediation. these are not opinions. these are facts.
