Just to add, per the earnings call the planned capacity growth for 2025 is 17% while pilot head count will remain about the same. The available seat miles will be added by a combination of increased utilization and parking 156-186 seat 319/320s for 190 seat max 8-200s. They are parking 12 buses this year while Boeing says they will deliver 12 but conservatively they will only expect 9. They did say they will take more if available and there is a chance for more than 12 but that seems unlikely. I think there will be some 2025 hiring depending on how much attrition we get above the 13 planned retirements. The deliveries for 2026 and beyond are mostly all for growth so that is when the training department should be maxed out with hiring outside of another black swan or economic lull, which even then there should still be some hiring since that was even the status quo during the lost decade.

that’s the oldest rumor in the book. Management is THRILLED this is taking so long. IBT asking to be released is just adding an additional 4-6 month delay.
