Lostplane, please do correct us when we don’t get the facts right. I have made reference to spirits process. I try to be accurate and respectful. G4 management is following beautifully in the time honored; Lorenzo school of labor relations. Its worked great for them the last decade. Cheap pilots and cheap airplanes. And millions in their pockets. What car was that, KB rolled up in?

Just a guess but I'm betting its preemptive approach for what's about to come. The majors haven't really opened the floodgates yet. If you go to the job fairs, the regionals are empty. Most people that are currently at the regionals want JetBlue or better. So if I was in recruiting, I'd want to get as many in the door now.
Add to that more Airbus planes are arriving as we speak and you have the making of a perfect storm.

So would it be a waste of time to apply now having no TPIC and no jet time? I fly a turboprop for a 121 cargo company.
Would I be wasting my time applying with Allegiant?

So...over/under on how many flights they have to scrap tomorrow if it actually snows overnight tonight in LAS like the forecast claims?

I guess it really depends on what time it snows. If it doesn't in the morning, then I would say a lot of them. If it does it overnight, it's hard to say. Depends on how much and how long.
