Allegiant Air

Does anyone know the details of the Spirit strike? How long were they negotiating? When were they released and why did the NMB release them when Republic has been negotiating since '08?
It's obvious our management fears not a strike so that's why I'm curious.

I just saw that the person who started the other thread about staying at Allegiant or going to JetBlue is no longer on the seniority list.

Read the Spirit of NKS thread from about page 100 or so forward. A lot of the same things that they went through during the 6 months or so leading up to the strike are being played out/have already been played out at G4.

While our management prides themselves on being "different" when it comes to revenue generation, the difference stops there. They are actually quite horrible at dealing with employees. Any anti-labor communication that we receive is ripped directly out of the Ford & Harrison playbook. I'm not sure if they even know how little effort it would have taken to keep their 3 employee groups from unionizing. The vote for the pilots was actually very narrow in favor of IBT. Fast forward to today. They've managed to alienate the 40% who voted NO and turned them right around. It's now 98%+ in favor of shutting this industry cancer down. You don't get those numbers by having ANY positive employee relations. They could have negotiated in good faith and we probably would have signed a contract with industry standard (maybe even a bit less) provisions. That's all out the window now. We want it all now. It's not just about money anymore.

What are the chances of landing in Central Florida out of training SFB or PIE? MD or Airbus? How often have vacancy notices been coming out to allow moving into another base?

Lately it's been into both aircraft. AB in PIE, SFB and IWA and 80 in all FL bases (except FLL now...going all AB) and even LAS and IWA. But if you get the 80 there's a high chance you'll end up in the VDB (virtual domicile base). Bids are now run quarterly. But it can and does change so it could be more often or less.

Would you expand on the virtual domicile base? I am not sure I understand. What is the call out time on reserve?
Thanks

Call out is 90 minutes to the airport parking lot.

I saw the numbers they turned down for Group II aircraft which includes the 80. 12 year CA was around $225 and I think third or fourth year FO was $130ish. I think it's safe to say that most guys are now wanting to shoot for those.
