Not stunned at all. You misread my post. Simply gathering ammo.

Quite the opposite, although attrition is not as high as the regionals we've had guys leaving or JB and NKS, not just the Legacies. With our current contract (or lack thereof), staffing is only going to get worse. We won't stop hiring any time soon.

As for, its not that bad? I just met the record holder for the involuntary TDY, 17 consecutive months of non commutable schedules (he has a family). Two years ago when IBT came on the property it was a 60/40 split on the yes vote and a lot of senior daddy's were ****ed off that we became a union carrier. Two years later? now all those anti Union guys are sporting Local 1224 Lanyards and are irked because they thought they had Sunday off but instead are being junior manned and sent to Bellingham. And I'm talking guys that are in the top 10% of the list. Our strike vote passed at 98%. That should say it all.

I'm not trying to come at you with a tone by the way. I'm just telling you the truth, I had to see it to believe it for myself.

I appreciate you giving me the run down. I would think they would try to keep their people happy, which would save them in the long run. I am surprised that I haven't been contacted with all the hiring going on. How long have you been flying the line any chance of upgrading soon?

I've been on line since the Fall, I don't know when I'll upgrade since they just cancelled the last class. To be honest I'm not in a rush though, Id be in the homeless base for quite awhile, but in theory I could probably upgrade before the year is out.

Believe or not, we still have a 6" stack of resumes, with World and Evergreen gone there's still some high time guys out there, many of whom live Florida. I suspect they will run through these guys and be down to mostly regional FOs and a few CAs by the end of the year.

All that said, I'm not overly bitter and the company hasn't hosed me real bad yet. But the potential is there and it scares the crap out of me, this airline has taught me that QOL is equally as important as pay.

You're a corporate G550 CA? Sounds like a better gig than an MD80 FO to me!

We have a sh&t ton of issues that make Allegiant a stressful environment right now, but if life is that bad....
Are you on reserve? How long have you spent on Allegiant reserve? Have you ever been forcefully TDY'd?

The "if you don't like it leave" crowd has always rubbed me the wrong way. It is hard to see the perspective of a seven year upgrade or a newhire in a HOM base when you upgraded in less than a year. Your Allegiant is not his Allegiant experience.

...not to mention the life enjoyed by those who sold their souls, and the AAY pilot group, for the 30 pieces of silver and the instructor/checkairman positions- which they are now giving out like candy these days to new hires/new upgrades who barely have a pulse.

Not on reserve but I did spend many years on reserve.

While I don't for a second think that my Allegiant experience is his, I also know that in 6 weeks on-line for him to be complaining as he is, life really has to suck and that's not an Allegiant issue.

I get that life here sucks for all but a select group of people right now... but after 6 weeks??

I'm not a "if you don't like it leave" person. I think only 8 people out of 500+ fit that bill.... but again, he's been here 6 weeks.

I agree. Hope it improves for him and all of us soon.

Let's just hope the NMB makes the right decision. These clowns aren't going to see the light until their feet are to the fire.

I would suggest you actually know the people who have, in some cases, earned an instructor job. Intimating that someone has crossed some line or sold their soul to work harder than you and enjoying less time with their own families, while trying to make sure our pilot group is well trained, is beyond pathetic.
