The days of fill out an app & wait for the interview offer have yet to arrive. The procedure to get hired is basically work your tail off for a year doing everything possible to gain the notice of a prospective airline - multiple job fairs, volunteer at corporate events, network like crazy, update your quals constantly....etc. Maybe you 'll be one of the lucky ones. Nobody is just walking in the door, anywhere, no matter the type rating they have.

With all due respect, I would suggest you call your CP and resign immediately. I'm sorry your life is so miserable here. Please quit before I have to fly with you.
We have a sh&t ton of issues that make Allegiant a stressful environment right now, but if life is that bad....

He said he finished ioe, so maybe he was in new hire training for a year? Or, maybe he’s in the Homeless (HOM) [my bad] the VBD base; and not looking forward to eating Salisbury steak out of his hotel microwave on Christmas eve, because the Denny’s crew will get the night off. Or not seeing his wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, son, daughter, mother, father, brother, sister, dog, cat, friend(s), wedding(s), bar mitzvah(s)..?

Here's my 2 cents. Talk to an allegiant pilot prior to any interview. Get the scoop first hand from one of our line pilots. Know your options and don't expect to be spoon fed during training. Show up informed and ready for challenging flying with little support.
If it's for you, GREAT! This could be a great place to be. TDY / VDB (HOM base?); look out! You may find yourself 3000 miles away from your front door.

We feel your pain. The first 12 months at this company are unbelievable. You literally live to work. What’s more amazing we keep getting questions asking us on this forum; “Is it really that bad?” or “Is commuting really that bad?” Even if you live next to a Florida base, you wont see your home.

When I read your post I thought to myself, so you only have to put up with this for twelve months. I don't know what magically happens in that thirteenth month, but I can't imagine it being enough to keep me here. Twelve months is too long for me to wait, I don't care how nice it gets after that. I don't want to work here anymore. This is insanity. Or actually, me coming to work here - THAT was insanity. I literally had a better quality of life as a flight instructor.

Funny people come on here and warn folks not to go to Allegiant. Yet when a pilot says he wants to leave, guys are stunned and want to know why.
