I stole DeadStick’s post from his Spirit thread. He put up a comparison chart. Of course he must of left us out due to the fact we are obviously the lowest in all categories, so maybe he didn’t want to take away from his point of comparison. Nonetheless, the landscape is quickly changing as far as bar’s to shoot for, so to speak.

While nothing is impossible, your quality of life will be absolutely horrible if you commute. The schedules are built almost punitively with 3 days off per week but never in a row. Think long and hard before accepting a position here.

Normally, you will get Tuesday's and Saturday's off and will back in base nearly every night. With some seniority you may get one or two 3 day blocks OFF on a good month. On a bad month? you may not get an uninterrupted 24 hr period at home. Go back about 20-30 pages into the Fall of last year and the scheduling issues here are pretty well explained.

If you get the email saying you passed the phone interview, sit tight. Expect Revision 2 about an hour later telling you that you DIDN'T pass the phone interview. Again, don't react yet. About 4 hours later, you'll get Revision 3 which states that you DID pass the phone interview. This is just a test to see if you can endure the monthly base award process.
