You think AS is a peer of Delta/AA/United? You're profitable much like Spirit, but you're also a minor player like Spirit. You'd be allowed to walk with no PEB as well. Just thought I'd chime in.

I'm sure the oil companies and the State of Alaska would strong arm a PEB out of the White House. PEBs generally are instituted when there is an overwhelming reason effecting the economy.

The impact on the North Slope alone would generate a PEB.

The admin loves oil companies and wall street, just like all the democrats and republicans also do.

Any job action that would threaten North Slope oil production in ANY WAY would draw a PEB faster than you could imagine.

Well then, I guess Alaskan Air pilots are out of luck for any contract improvements then....

waiting until after pay day so guys will get paid before walking off? Also hearing management was caught totally off guard with the SQ option and is in a complete freaking melt down. The pooping sound can be heard all the way to FL. Without options to stop a crippling strike, they are left with no recourse than to beg for a deal. Not sure, but I trust the IBT lawyer, pretty solid.

Lot of folks on premium pay 'till the 31st - why hand the company the 30% as opposed to waiting another week.....

Good point. I didn't think of the above.

Perhaps the company will be more "flexible" towards us during this next negotiating session? I mean now that we can walk when we want, we have a huge advantage.
