Oh, and additionally, I'll be on the picket line instead of flying a trip.....but I'll just wait until I see it at the airport. I'm done being told to wait by my phone. You see, I've been on reserve long enough, and the only time I need to wait by my phone is during my reserve availability period.

Up to you if you want to risk your career on the backup notification system (people at the airport to stop you). As for me, I'll take multiple texts and whatever other inconveniences it takes to make sure I don't accidentally work when I'm not supposed to. All it takes is one "all green slides armed" and it's a lifetime of regret.

I for one, don't need any further urgent messages telling me to wait by my phone. As a matter of fact, I nearly chose to opt out and take my number off the list. If I show up to work, and see we're on strike, I'll put my trip bag back in my car, and grab a sign! The only SMS we need is......ON STRIKE! Not testing, testing, testing, or the sky is falling, or wolf wolf wolf. We know the company is seeing these messages, and if there is an attempt to show management we are about to walk; it only worked once for me! Fool me once.....shame on you.....fool me twice ( or daily ) shame on me for letting you. I'm not responding to the next SMS unless its the real deal.
There. Happy now? :-)

Not a joke. The company is trying to get an emergency injunction and the reps are communicating our responsibilities.

Although I do like the timing.
