There will always be the armchair quarterbacks second-guessing on Monday morning. IBT and the pilots did it right. Stopped by a corrupt legal system, their courageous action showed the world that Allegiant is not all it's cracked up to be and caused the investment peeps to take notice. Take a look at the stock, it hasn't made it back since. Bold move, had to be done. All previous efforts to highlight the issues at allegiant failed, but the threat of a strike accomplished everything the IBT wanted to do leading up to that. Up until then, management had no time for us and the NMB was doing little to help matters. Suddenly the pace of negotiations has accelerated and the tone has changed. Allegiant used to be the Wall Street Cindarella and now it's name is associated with labor problems. This fight is far from over. No regrets

The stock is actually up about 8% from the very beginning of the year where it was trading at $149/share. It spiked up to almost 200/share then dropped about 17% to where it is now at $163/share.

Sounds like it's trading right with the rest of the airline industry. Again I wish you the best of luck but I would plan on working out a contract without getting a release.

The stock dropped around 20% when the strike was announced. It happened in one session, how long did Delta's drop take?

Reading all this makes me even happier that I decided to leave Allegiant.
Wish all my friend there the best, and hope it works out.

Same here. Don't miss the daily chaos, incompetence and lousy, vindictive management. It's nice going to work without worrying about my career every day. Hopefully more pilots there will wake up and realize there are much easier, better places to work that don't suck the life out of you. Good luck guys.

Where did you guys move on to? Just curious if it was lateral or a step up move say from an LCC to a legacy.

Not sure you could call anything out there lateral to G4, but it's ranged from Spirit and JB to United. Mostly AA, UAL, AK, WN. None to DAL that I've heard. I stay in touch with buddies, most of which are still trying to get out of there. Seems everyone's looking to get away. Sad because it used to be a great place to work.

Ditto! Should have left earlier on when I had the chance! It's interesting how you get lulled into believing and drinking AAYs company kool aid and truly believe it's great there and that "it will get better"
I go to work happy, not worried of said management and their morally obtuse leadership methods. Work is also way easier.....
Good luck AAY new hires!
