I drove once in FL when I was new... but did the same thing and called off fatigued the next day. I needed too, I didn't actually get home until 2:30AM.

The two or three times something unexpected has happened since then they rented limos, no questions asked.

Allegiant maintenance flight reports trouble, lands safely - News3LV

Emergency declared, repeat write up, of course.

I noticed on Allegiant's website they list 1500 hours under their hiring minimums. Is this accurate?

Unless I'm reading it wrong, looks like Allegiant lowered their minimums to ATP standards or never bothered to update their site to what they are really looking for. It doesn't even say anything about having an ATP or an ATP written.

What's your point? They shouldn't do maintenance test flights?

It used to be 4000 when I got hired almost 2 years ago, so I'm guessing they did lower their minimums.

They lowered the Min to 1500 a little over a year for military guys and gals applying. Ave hired pilot have a lot more than that.

I think the current class average is 5000 to 6000

Really? Ok. 30 min later, no, we changed our minds your back on reserve, but we might send you to a dif station to operate a dif turn. 30 more min later, yes we are going to have you do the second turn, but there are no towncars. We are going to get you a rental and you have to drive 2 hrs, operate a 7 hour turn and drive back. Get to station and there is a plane swap that takes 1hr to do. Needless to say, it has been a very long day. Any yes, this happens all the time.
