If you can read Allegiant sounds like Qol Hell type rating or not.

Why not just sit on the sidelines and let the CEO and his employees who wear "Us against them hats" have to change work rules, pay, Qol, and tactics before you become an employee?

Yes I know a Captain that once in a while gets 2 in a row off, but I would hope 3 off would be the min unless one would want OT...

This is not the CEO's first rodeo, if I had to guess, his plan A is find people who have shiny jet syndrome, Plan B merge with another airline reset the clock on all problems.

Just my .02 but why would anyone want to perpetuate this company for what they are offering when hang in there and Delta, American, United will have jobs in the next few years that will pay way more???

SJS is pervasive! It's symptoms begin with foaming at the mouth and culminate in pining after any operator with shiny jets. It is cured only by the inevitable disillusionment that follows.

There is absolutely no other cure on the planet. I know. I had it once.

If you plan on coming here, please do so with your eyes wide open. The company will sell you out in a minute. I'm sure you've worked really hard for your career to this point, why take the risk?

G-d forbid you have an incident, they will be looking for all the things you did wrong rather than all the things you did right. Jobs are on the line daily here.

There are a lot of words to describe Allegiant's fleet, but "shiny" isn't one of them.

They're all shiny to one with SJS.

So you turned in your resignation right?

So many drama queens on here. I am just as the next guy about negotiations. Is our management sleezy? Yep, then again so is management everywhere I've ever worked. You think Delta management isn't trying to screw their guys over right now?

I am looking to move on to a legacy job just like probably 90% of the guys here. I don't know what planet some of you guys are on, but it isn't nearly as horrible as some of you guys proclaim. Many of the usual suspects here actually think they are going to be able to scare off potential new hires and somehow you will be able to starve management into cooperation. Some of you think trash talking the company that is responsible for the paycheck you get every two weeks will benefit you. I disagree. You will speak louder with your feet than you ever will on an anonymous message board.

I think the difference between life at Delta and life here is that you have people at Delta that will support the decisions you make on the line. Ask that PIE CA who was forced to evacuate a month or so back how supportive the company is being with his decisions. Ask anyone that has been called to Vegas for a meeting how supportive the company is.

I'm totally down with going to Delta... guess I should call and tell them I'll be attending ground school in a few weeks huh?

Do you know if they take fleet requests? I really like that 747 they fly... say do you know when I will be able to bid the 747?

Just show up to the interview with the typical APC **** and moan attitude and they will hire you on the spot. The key is to be a keyboard warrior talking as much smack as you can about your present company. This is far more effective than getting your apps out and going to job fairs.

This thread started over 2 years ago. Has anything productive happened due to all ****ing and moaning? Have the salaries went up, working conditions improved or the planes gotten better? You're wasting your time here complaining. If it is so horrible and so dangerous to work for Allegiant, why do you even show up? Some of you speak as if your taking your life in your hands every time you show up to work. But yet you show up. That tells me you're a liar or an idiot. I won't set foot on an aircraft I have reason to believe is unsafe. Why do you?

I have no illusions of Allegiant getting better any time soon. The Teamsters seem to have mastered the art of getting their arses handed to them. I'm not looking to them to make and difference any time soon. I won't be surprised if they go the way of the dispatchers union in the not too distant future. Maury won, we lost. The man has mastered the art of union busting and screwing his employees for profit. Everything bad said about him is true and you won't get any arguments from me about that. That is why the only sane and rational choice is to leave. It's the most effective way to send your message of discontent.
