Those getting the calls for interviews I would say to take it if you are sitting at your regional with no other options. There are some serious problems here but the pilot group is great and united for a solution. At this point the positives still out weigh the negative.

When asked how he knew it was from the "Taliban" he said that he actually missed the call but "*69'd them" and it came back as "the Taliban".
Or at least that was SNL's take on it...

Gotcha. True, it won't. If there is one thing I have learned through my own process, none of these companies work on specific timelines. They will call when they want to, email when they want and so on. It's very frustrating and there were many days I almost lost my mind, gave up and then an email would show up. This was not just allegiant but every company I dealt with. It's hard to remeber we are not their only applicant for the only position listed. HR runs the process and they are hiring IT folks, customer service reps and pilots. Long story short, be patient and good things will come.

I believe there is a $500/month override if your based in Hawaii.
I wouldn't count on the 757 though, they just hired a bunch of new hires into it and staffing on it looks adequate. They are also parking 1 of them later this year and will probably seat lock candidates on it (they will not let them upgrade on anything else since it involves buying you a new type rating). Yes, the seat lock also applies going from FO to CA, as a lot of people are finding out the hard way.
Combine that with a shrinking fleet and a 4-5 year upgrade on the 757 I don't see much more movement on that aircraft. There are also running rumors that the HNL base will be closing next year as well.
Stay flexible!
