Wow! Packrat has gone off the deep end. You're quoting yourself now with your other APC alias. They have meds for that sort of thing now.

For someone that doesn't work here, you seem to devote a lot of time to the Allegiant thread. In post #3789, you seem to know quite a bit about the MD80 for someone who doesn't work here. In post #3793 you as "why would anyone want to work HERE"? What an odd way to phrase a question. If I worked somewhere else, I would have said "why would anyone want to work there"?

You are a sad little troll Valuegiant, I mean Packrat.

Mod Note:

Enough of the "my pee pee is bigger than your pee pee" competition. I'm not going to delete any posts, but will start giving out infractions for the next post(s) that of a similar nature. Keep discussions to Allegiant and not on attacking individual users.

Thank you vagabond.

I think that people can make their own decisions as to the facts. I am still amazed these multiple events hasn't triggered at least a freeze in growth from the FAA. With so many inflight shutdowns, air/gate returns, the Fargo incident, the recent flight control failure, etc. you'd think this would trigger a re certification event.

I credit Alligiant for coming up with a product that folks want to buy. But I am appalled how poorly they care for their employees. And anyone who thinks that this is a safe way to run an airline maintenance wise is either a true idiot, or a callous monster who cares nothing for people's lives.

The FAA did "freeze growth" several months ago when there were "labor issues".....for several weeks the place was crawling with feds who evidently were satisfied with what they saw because the "freeze" was lifted. I would guess maybe this is being revisited. It's a definite concern.

I wouldn't say people WANT to buy Allegiant's products. The people that ride ALGT are the folks who would take Greyhound or drive because they can't afford a real airline ticket. That why they live in the places ALGT flies to.

That is the truth.

Or maybe, just MAYBE, he flew the MD80 at another airline. Shocking concept, I know! 😆

All you have to do is read his other posts to figure that out...geeesh. 😏 Ooooh, Disco...

Most of the destinations Allegiant serves are only served by crappy little RJ's. Why jump on an RJ and connect at a hub when you can fly direct for less?

The ULCC model caters to people who would probably take Greyhound otherwise. That is no secret. Who do you think Spirit and Frontier cater to? Money is money, it doesn't matter who you make it from. It all spends the same.

I have better things to do with my spare time than read all of Packrats posts. I also have more important things to do than make 90% of my posts to a thread regarding an airline I allegedly don't fly for.

Regarding the captain terminated for the evacuation - here is a link to a website set up to help him out while he gets back on his feet:

Well, frankly, I'd prefer RJ service on an airline whose stated goal isn't to have ONE good engine on every airplane. Safety culture means a lot and there isn't a good safety culture in the head shed at Allegiant.

Hopefully, it won't take a smoking hole in the desert for the FAA to pay attention.
