I'd like to see them try this on an Allegiant flight. Their flight attendants are usually no-nonsense kind of folks, even polite passengers often get a less than friendly response.

I dont think you are giving much credit to other Allegiant pilots/captains with that statement. It aint rocket science to abort a takeoff when the nose goes up prematurely and you want to stop.

That certainly is debatable. The bigger question is why is it something so simple as a cotter pin was left unattached to a primary control surface by our contract maintenance?

Tell us all the story of the Valujet crash and how it compares to Allegiant.

Emergency procedures, handling a fire extinguisher, donning O2 masks....that sort of stuff.
