No, I wish I was done! Oral is next week, followed by sim. I'll say this, everyone seems genuinely interested in our success and are doing their best to get us the information. I just feel the entire training department is overwhelmed with all of the new hires and upgrades and transitions, which is not helping any of us. As for the gouge, I will say the gouges are actually extremely helpful and is a big part of what is keeping us going through class!

Talking Is it possible? A happy Allegiant pilot?

Aha! A pilot happy at Allegiant. All the comments about "suckers" referring to new hires are just insulting. You all making the comments are still here for whatever reasons you have so maybe new hires have their own reasons too.

Sure, there’s always that 5 to 10 percent. I will refer you to our union vote over two years ago. The great thing about living in a democracy is, I now work for one as well. You’ve been met at the ballot box. And you will soon be met again. Wanna guess what that vote will be? You and that 5 to 10 percent will be obliterated. I don’t wish your viewpoint luck, even though you need it.

Long live freedom, and God Bless America! Meet you at the ballot box partner.

When was that post written?? Oh, right when the union was voted in? As we all have been saying for pages upon pages upon pages, this *used* to be a great place to work....2 years ago, when that post was written.

And also something (factual) to note: that post was prior to all the TDY's, etc.

Nice try, though..

Weak argument. If you go back far enough, you can see posts where even I defended this company to any and all attackers. Most of us are still here not due to lack of trying. Many of the more senior captains aren't going to go to Spirit or JetBlue because it is only a small step up. Most will only apply to Delta, United, or American. We have more to lose than someone coming here right from a regional. We were hired here when NOBODY else was hiring. If I were at a regional today, I would never apply here in a million years.

If you still want to ignore those who are in the know because you think you will strike gold here, be my guest. You too will learn.

I am not "trying" anything. I personally know several Allegiant FO's and Captains that are happy with their employment and all for different reasons. Do they want to make more money? Yes, everyone in the world does. Do they wish many things were different? Yes. But they are happy to be employed and flying large jets. For all those griping on the boards you are no less a sucker than any new hire because you are still here.

The training is concerning though.

You have four posts.

Send me a PM with the list of several happy pilots and I will validate you to everyone on this thread. If not then you're just a pot stirrer.
