June '16 vacancy bid is apparently out, anyone know where to find it on G4? Email's only showing the md-80 side... unless of course there really are no upgrades on the bus.

Go to the flight ops page and on the right hand side click on the pilot standing bid. The current openings are on there. You are correct, no upgrades on the bus. Apparently this will be a monthly thing instead of every quarter. So just like new hire classes, some months may be all 80, some all bus, and some a combo of the two. To be honest this is probably more like other airlines than we have ever had so this is probably a small step in the right direction.

It never takes long for someone to blame the crew. Between this comment and the email from EG, you'd think the crew had no reason to declare an emergency. Do you want to guess why the plane went for a test flight? Any guesses as to what happened several times on that test flight?

I have a few guesses, would it be hydraulic problems that are being dealt with by a robust safety culture?!

Just ignore J3C. He's another wannabe management stooge that is trying to convince himself that this place isn't going down the tubes.

Seems to me an ECAM announcing low hydraulic and then a test flight the next day would negate any fingers pointed at the crew.

I'm only curious as to who did the test flight. Seems most are done by fresh Captains on reserve instead of check airmen. Not the safety first choice IMO.

Not enough thought given to something happening after an untrained crew gets into a situation or even signs off a plane later found not to be airworthy.

I'm referring to the second air return... There was no ECAM, rather the crew observed a lower qty. I've made the same mistake and called for mx to service the system. But it's normal for the qty to drop in flight with gear retracted.

The first flight had issues. Not questioning that. The crew did everything by the book. Let's just not all be so quick to say the plane had two hydraulic problems in a row.

Obviously drama is king! No room for any opinions or ideas around here other than "pilots never make mistakes and mx always sucks!"

Isn't it wiser to hold off on speculation/judgement and wait for the findings to come out?
