He had 3500TT, 1500 turbine, and about 400 turbine PIC. Just a guess but they may be looking for pilots who will stick around a while. For me and that is just me, as a line pilot, my airline is making all the RIGHT decisions and making ton of money, so if they pull out of a route because they think its not making enough money, so be it and i am all for it, and I think you as a line pilot should be happy too that our company is making all the right moves and keeping us employed.
btw, I came from an airline that kept flying a route that didn't make a cent for 5 years, yet we kept that route, go figure.
