You're probably "over-qualified". They think you'll jump ship in the next few years as the hiring really starts to pick up at the legacies. I know a regional FO who was just hired without a degree. He had 3500TT, 1500 turbine, and about 400 turbine PIC. Just a guess but they may be looking for pilots who will stick around a while. Not that you wouldn't, but on paper you look prime for a legacy job.

Thanks for posting stats, fellas.... It helps to figure out what they desire.... And good luck to all who applied, notwithstanding the result.

Internal recs are once again very important here. We value people with common values. Go find an Allegiant friend real quick.

I applied with a "true referral" and received their version of the tbnt email. 3100TT, 1500turbine, bachelors degree, no training or check ride failures.

They're looking for times in the 5000+ range now that they have so many apps, plus a referral and/or job fairs

With all due repspect, there are a handful of guys I know with very similar times that applied right before and after I did without internals or job fairs that are making their way through the interview process. so I don't buy that, fully.

Keep applying, I know first hand that some people have had success with multiple apps.

You are correct, a month ago they were hiring Ameriflight guys. Also I know several people who applied multiple times before getting hired. Job fair is probably still the best bet.

They drop it because it's not making as much money as they think it SHOULD make.
Fair enough, so you think you know better than what they think what a route SHOULD make?

For me and that is just me, as a line pilot, my airline is making all the RIGHT decisions and making ton of money, so if they pull out of a route because they think its not making enough money, so be it and i am all for it, and I think you as a line pilot should be happy too that our company is making all the right moves and keeping us employed.
btw, I came from an airline that kept flying a route that didn't make a cent for 5 years, yet we kept that route, go figure.
