Very junior and usually a revolving door. Almost every new hire AB class has a few PGD spots.

You're definitely correct. But there's no reason to be fearful of the MD80. It's paid for a lot of college tuitions and mortgages. Most of us will have the rest of our lives to stare out the window and watch airbus do its thing.

I guess thats good news for someone who actually wants PGD. Let me ask you, if someone ends up getting the MD80, then PGD is out of the question correct? considering its a AB base... Im guessing new hires dont have a choice in equipment... It would be a risk, not getting the AB. Im not picky on the equipment I would fly in any way, I would just need to be PGD based because commuting isnr really an option at G4.

If you can stomach SFB in the meantime, as it will be one of the last md bases.

Yes if you got the 80, then worst case you have to wait 2 years until your equip. lock is up to hold PGD, unless you upgrade into the airbus sooner. St. Pete has MD80s so you could make the 90 min reserve call out if you lived just north of PGD but PIE is suppose to transition to Airbus next Fall so you could get displaced if no LOA is developed to let you break lock (possible but I wouldn't plan on it). If your class has MD80 and Airbus slots you get to choose based on SS# but some classes are all Airbus or all MD80 with a few occasional 757 slots.

Plenty when the poster originally said they wanted PGD. Not much to like about that commute.

This just in. We are securing A330's to be operated out of PGD to London. PGD will be super senior now.
