There are approximately 11,000 births per day in the United States. The last 4 digits of a Social Security number represents basically 10,000 numbers.

Your SS# has NOTHING to do with your age. That's why they use this method! Not discriminatory.
Don’t forget to include UAL for inventing and using this outlandish, egregious miscarriage of justice. How do we bear it?

LoL That's the craziest thing I've heard about the SSN's. If that was true my son, who was born in a different State than me, would be older than I am based on the last 6 of his vs my SSN's. In fact his entire SSN is lower than mine. hahaha!

Both AB and 80 fly in SFB and it's likely he will be able to hold that base before he gets out of training. If not then, surely VBD will be available, and he can bid VBD in SFB since it's usually offered.

Plan on an 80-100 day footprint in training, especially if he gets AB. More senior pilots less, less senior pilots more. That's what it's currently running. Training here is exhaustive, that's no joke. He needs to be prepared to put out a lot of effort and self study, and don't expect to make it home much.
We are planning for at least 120 days of training with no coming home!

I'm sure he'll have some opportunities to jumpseat home. Especially between ground school and sims, they usually give a few days break. I would plan on 120 for training to be the minimum though, unless things have changed in the last few months.

I agree, there should be a few opportunities to go home.

It depends on where you guys live. I went home every weekend. But also I lived 1 hour flight away at the time.
